Los Campesinos!- “We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed”
This the title track from Los Campesinos! new album. Don’t let the Spanish name fool you, they’re actually from Wales. I just recently discovered this crazy group and I’m super excited about them. My elevator speech for them would probably be “Architecture in Helsinki with a distortion peddle.” Although that does sell them a bit short, there are a number of similarities between the bands. They’re both big collectives with boy/girl harmonies and cutesy lyrics that perform with ridiculous amounts of enthusiasm, but after that the comparisons fall a bit flat. These guys rock much harder then the Aussies ever did.
Just listen to it, whatever.
