I could smell it in the air this morning when I went out to go jogging. I’m not sure why all the seasons have distinctive smells for me, but boy howdy do they. I wore a jacket to school today for the first time since April. It’s going down to 45 degrees tonight.
The signs are obvious. It won’t be long before there are crunchy leaves everywhere and apple cider to be sipped. Summer’s defintely my favorite season, and while this August was strangely mild in heat, which disapointed me (because I’m insane) I’m totally ready for the fall, mostly because it means root vegetables-a-plenty and Lord knows I love me some butternut squash. Also I’m going to the Big E next weekend, which I did last year, because it’s hard not to have a good time when every state in New England have their state fairs all in the same place at the same time. Plus there’s deep fried oreos.
Anywho, to welcome autumn with open arms I’m dusting off an autumn themed mix I made a few years back, and still find to be pretty awesome. You can listen to a few of the tracks at my makeshift muxtape via tumbltape or download it here.
