Some Highlights from Volunteering at the American Craft Beer Festival This Weekend:

-Getting to meet and pour beer for Garrett Oliver, brewmaster of the Brooklyn Brewery, and author of some of the best books about beer around

-The cowboy-style button down shirt he was wearing that replaced the typical parsley design over the shoulders with Hop vines

-Visiting the Atwater Brewery booth, and receiving a free mug when I told them what my name was

-Pouring beer for and chatting with the brewmaster of Bear Republic Brewery and exchanging business cards with him, “In case I’m ever looking for a job.”

- Visiting the booth from Terrapin Brewery, the first time a Georgia Brewery has made it to a Boston fest.

-Seeing my old friend Jeremy at Cisco Brewery

-Seeing various old friends who were attending the festival and volunteering at it

-Oh, and the beer.

- And taking a bunch home with me at the end of the night.

I snapped a few photos with my phone and put them online
