As far as I’m concerned, this place is Atlanta.  Eating a sandwich there with my dad and brother on a Saturday afternoon in November after all getting our hair cut is one of my favorite ATL memories ever.

travisekmark:

just got lunch from henri’s in the buckhead village.
like the rest of atlanta (and especially buckhead), henri’s is a bizarre collision of high/low, new/old, elegant/tacky.
the sandwiches come old school deli style, gloriously free from attempts to “gourmet” the sandwich.
their appeal is through quality and simplicity:
fresh baked bread
fresh sliced meat and cheese
henri’s has been on irby avenue for almost 50 years, i think. waiting in line is the best part, standing between the debutantes and day-laborers.
