Schneider TM - The Light 3000
This is apparently a cover of a song by the Smiths, “There Is a Light That Never Goes out” which Wikipedia refers to as a “indie anthem.” I’d never heard of the song until I went looking for the original earlier tonight. (I have to admit I don’t own any Smiths albums. Don’t tell Elaina) I think I much more prefer this version, which is done in quiet electro-pop with a robot voice instead of Morrissey’s crooning. It’s quite lovely; very calming with that typical understated sadness that I’m a sucker for in music.
From dalas verdugo’s muxtape. an excellent jaunt through electronic tinged pop. it reminds me of high school.
