A much-needed reminder as we in the academic world approach finals season. The one thing I would add is to create separate work and home zones. Doing all of my work at my desk on my computer and then doing most of my relaxing at my desk on my computer has never been very productive for me.
1. Don’t work long hours
2. Take breaks
3. Take even longer breaks
4. Stop work and sit down for meals
5. Don’t work in the afternoons
6. Mix it up
7. Aim low (don’t schedule every minute)
8. Take time to relax
9. Get up early (maybe)
10. Exercise!
