My pals at the Whitehaus are putting together a really exciting showcase this Friday at the YMCA in Central Square. they have appropriately dubbed it BLASTFEST! 2008. As I’ve begun to frequently mention, there is a lot of pretty amazing musicians (and poets) in Boston. It can be overwhelming as to where to begin, but now you don’t have to worry about that. On Friday beginning at 5 p.m. close to 70-something acts will be performing, it’s something similar to the hootnannies that go on every Friday night but much more polished and organized, much more of a proper show.

This is one of the first big events they have organized outside of their house compound, and it should be a really great time.
