1.Drink more beer. (My schedule last fall meant I was on campus from mid-afternoon to late night most days, which made it difficult to buy and drink beer during the week.)
2. Prove to myself and parents and professors I actually belong in Grad School after a disastrous 1st semester. (Read: Straight “A”s in stead of barely passing. Seriously.)
3. Research jobs/careers I would 1. Enjoy 2. Be good at. (This will absolutely involve the beer industry.)
4. Continue to learn to cook more veggie-centric recipes.
5. Listen to more music. (Specifically, music from 2008.)
6. Write something really funny, then write more things that are really funny. (I’ve been meaning to try humor writing for years, but I always put it off)
7. Attend more Hoots/Spend more time in JP.
8. Make more beer and win more brewing contests ( C&C BREWING FACTORY FOR LIFE!!!1one)
A common theme among many year’s resolutions is to simultaneously drink more/have more fun while at the same time work more/get more accomplished. This may be setting myself up for trouble, but I think what I really need is clearer boundaries between each area of my life. I waste a lot of time unsure of which I should be doing at a given moment and so don’t do either. I’m going to give myself much clearer “work” times and “play” times in hopes of resolving that problem.
