E-pals!
On many tumblr blogs there has been a lot of attention paid to how many people “follow” your blog and how many blogs you “follow.” This basically revolves around tumblr’s own internal method for letting you keep track of your friend’s tumblr blogs and who reads yours. I prefer to use Google reader to keep track of all of my regularly read websites so I don’t “follow” any tumblogs. I do feel though that this attention to “following” helps foster the tremendous community feeling that tumblr works on. To that end I would like to list the personal websites that I check on a regular basis. I’ve done this in the past, and was reluctant to give such a list again as many of my friends have a habit of creating blogs, writing frequently for six weeks, and then completely forgetting about them just as quickly. At the moment however I feel as though enough of my friends have consistently written that I am feeling brave enough to give such a list another try.
So anyway, here is a list of people whose personal website I read regularly. Some of them are known to me personally, some I simply enjoy the thoughts of, in either case I recommend you check out their site, and consider “following” them yourself, especially if you enjoy and regularly read my blog (all 3 of you.)
(In no particular order)
Deirdre Costello
Christopher Budnick
Zach Klein
Ricky Van Veen
Jakob Lodwick
Jason Kottke
Andrea Nugent
Nick Gray
dalas verdugo
Travis Ekmark
Chelsea Butts-Adams
Annamarie Tendler
Sarah Schneider
James Nord
I also wanted to post such a list, so Deirdre could see a small sample of all the blogs I read as she was present in class one day when Professor Najarian made the comment “Does anyone honestly read 15 blogs a day?” I raised my hand and said “I do.”
