Sudden Realization (a dim bulb brightens)

Working on something, regardless of what it is, or how important, for long projected amount of time is absolutely no good for me.  I’m simply unable to maintain focus and so my ability to get things done dissipates rapidly.  This is why I’ve been staying up for days and not getting anywhere with my term paper on Melville’s poetry.  I need to work on something else so I can come back to Melville fresh. Fortunately I’ve got plenty of other papers that I can work on.

Looking back on other exam periods, this also explains similar situations that put myself in, and the shoddy results that came about. The reason why I was able to get things done last fall was because I was juggling so many other things, I need the distraction, I realize now.

I have a feeling this is pretty common phenomena, Why am I just figuring this out?

So now I’m going to work on my visual studies class. It’s a helpful distraction
