One of the reasons craft beer has kept its momentum even in the recession is that craft beer is an affordable luxury. People can’t go out and buy a vacation home or fancy watch or an SUV, but for 10 bucks a six pack someone can treat themselves to some of the best beer in the world. Meanwhile high end wine goes for hundreds of dollars a bottle.
