Old movies are great, but I feel like most crime/action movies don’t age well. Fortunately this wasn’t the case with the French Connection. For a movie now 40 years old it still packs quite a bit of action, suspense and violence. It may be one of the first cop movies I’ve seen in awhile that’s gritty without seeming like it’s trying to be gritty.
