When Lindsey is flirting with Ice Tobias: “It is telling that she would go after someone my own type.”
Lindsey: “Guys hear Tobias, they think big, black guy.” Tobias: “Well I’m certainly not a big guy.”
Lucille: “Michael, there was a colored man in my kitchen.” Michael: “Colored? What color was he, exactly?” Lucille: “Blue.” Michael: “Well I sent him there to keep you safe.”
Tobias’ middle name is Onyango. Onyango is a name used by Luo People in Kenya and Uganda. Notably, Barack Obama’s father’s middle name is Onyango.
It’s stated that Lindsay was attracted to Herbert Love because she was reminded of Tobias when they first met.

In light of some of the recent headlines surrounding a Tumblr acquisition, I’ve just hastily written and released an update to tumblr-rb — my command line utility and library for the Tumblr API.
I’ve added a new command in this version:
tumblr backupThis will download and write all of your tumblr posts, serialized into a simple plain text format, into a directory you list, or your current working directory.
Downloaded the new version with homebrew1 or rubygems, run
tumblr authorizeto authenticate, and then back up all of your posts in one easy command. You’ll want to give it your tumblr hostname or else you’ll be asked for it repeatedly:
$ TUMBLRHOST=mwunsch.tumblr.com tumblr backup ~/tumblr_backupOpen an issue on GitHub if you encounter any problems.
This script doesn’t download the associated media with your posts, just the posts themselves, in a format suitable for both humans and machines to read.
It’s not unusual to hear someone say “I just love animals, I’d love almost any job where I work with them” or “I just love cars, I’d love almost any job where I can work with them.”
I’d really love to meet someone who was that way about offices. “I just love offices, I’d love any job where I get to work in an office.”
I’ve had a lot of jobs in a lot of different industries, almost all of them have been desk jobs in offices and as such have been fairly similar jobs. Maybe colleges should just offer a major called “General Office Studies.”
And I know what you’re thinking, “Isn’t that what we the liberal arts are for?” Sure, pretty much all of those majors will guarantee you a long life of tedious office work, but we should offer young students the ability to really dig in and explore the subtle skill of feigning interest in a long meeting and the delicate art of quickly minimizing your browser window when someone walks by. It’s these skills, more than anything, that have allowed me to get to where I am today.
No easy answers in Syria.
